6 Ways to Get Your Children Outside This summer

There's no need to buy a pool when old-fashioned sprinklers are equally entertaining., spend time outside with your children. However, there are times when the days are long and your ideas are few. Here are some suggestions to keep your active children occupied and getting plenty of fresh air this summer.

Flat You lay down on the sidewalk and alternate outlining each other. Draw clothing and funny faces to decorate your flat selves. You can also read the book "Flat Stanley" to make this project more educational.

Garden

By planting and maintaining a garden, your child will learn science, responsibility, and have fun. Indeed, if you have the time and desire, you can make the entire landscape edible. What fun would it be to snack around the yard? Blueberry bushes, strawberries, herbs, and fruit trees are all low-maintenance plants. Some vegetables, such as tomatoes, grow like weeds with only a lot of water and sunshine. Begin slowly and see what happens.

Hoola Hooping

Have you ever tried hoola-hooping with your child? Show him how to do it. Then, take some hoola hoops and set up a makeshift circus in your yard, or try to get your dog to jump through one. Your only limitation is your imagination.

Hopscotch

Teach your children the game of hopscotch. Allow them to create their own hopscotch patterns. If they're anything like me, they'll make hundreds of squares and hop around all day.

Bubbles are a perennial favorite. Alternate between chasing and popping them. Blow bubbles with different bubble wands to see how their shapes and sizes vary.

Sprinklers should be turned on.

There's no reason to buy a pool when old-fashioned sprinklers are just as entertaining. There's something special about running through the sprinklers in the front yard, especially when the neighbor kids see you having fun and join in.

Print this list and keep it on hand for the next time your kids say, "MOMMMMMM, we're bored!"
